HonorBound Foundation is based in Darien, CT, and the nonprofit’s mission is to serve veterans and their families with honor, dignity and respect by advocating for and providing immediate assistance to them during times of crisis. One of HonorBound’s partnerships is with Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, which trains dogs to help veterans with disabilities.
Guardian Angels has been rescuing, raising, training, and then donating individually trained medical service dogs such as Boots, pictured at left, to veterans and others who struggle with a myriad of disabilities. Boots was recently paired with a Connecticut veteran in 2021 and has helped the veteran through episodes of night terrors and made him feel less isolated.
Through its established partnerships with caseworkers and social workers within the Veterans Administration and other organizations, HonorBound is able to extend its reach to struggling veterans across the country. HonorBound helps veterans get back on track and find stability in their civilian lives.
Our veterans risked their lives for the country and we owe them so much. Support our heroes by donation to HonorBound Foundation. Visit HonorBound’s website to see how you can help.
