When spring arrives, Darien’s community events come to life as well. The town hosts many events that cater to the town’s active, artistic and enthusiastic lifestyle.
One of the community’s most notable events is the annual equestrian event at the Ox Ridge Riding and Racquet Club each June. The club, founded in 1911, has been hosting the three-day event since 1926. The event attracts horse enthusiasts and riders from Europe and across the U.S.
Weekly events such as the town’s Farmers Market and the Summer Nights concert series begin in May and continue through November. Residents with an creative flair enjoy September’s annual outdoor arts fair, the town recognizes its patriotic history at the annual Memorial Day parade and the end-of-the-year holiday season is welcomed at community’s tree-lighting ceremony.
