Darien offers a little something for everyone. There’s water, history, stables and miles of trails. The town is home to a stately public library, one of the oldest golf clubs in the U.S. and enough landmarks to keep a new resident busy.
One of the town’s most notable features is the Darien Library. Originally built in 1894, the library is a must-see if you’re new to the area. The library’s current home was built after a three-year community capital campaign and is a 54,000 square-foot structure designed to meet all environmental standards. It features an auditorium, a café, fireplaces and a vegetable garden.
