The Realtor Community is hosting a Virtual Holiday Party/Community Give-Back on Tuesday, December 8th from 6 pm to 7 pm. They will be featuring and donating to 6 local charities. Giving back locally is a huge part of President Julie Peters' passion. It is also their annual meeting, so they will be acknowledging their outgoing leadership and welcoming their new incoming directors.

FACES: Linda Stephens founder of Linda Stephens Fitness LLC

Meet Linda Stephens, IFBB Pro (International Federation of Bodybuilding) and founder of Linda Stephens Fitness LLC and a Darien resident since 1996. Although strength training and wellness have always been a passion of hers, Linda’s life didn’t always revolve around bodybuilding and fitness. In fact, after graduating from college, Linda worked in equity sales and trading for UBS in New York City for 15 years before deciding to start her family. It was at that point she knew she needed to “reinvent” herself. “I’ve always weight-trained and taken care of myself. So, I decided to make a living doing what I love” says Linda.

Linda Stephens Fitness, LLC focuses on bringing health not only to the community but to women around the USA . With an extensive local presence throughout Fairfield County and a virtual business extending across the nation, Linda works primarily with women over 40 years old to help them balance their wellness as they approach midlife.

An active presence in the Darien community, Linda has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Darien Community Association and has served on the Board at the YWCA. Having children in the Darien school district has also allowed her to volunteer at various school events. In addition, Linda has worked with many of the Darien Moms.

Linda continues to stay positive despite the COVID-19 hurdle! “As with any crisis, we must use those times to see how we can benefit others. My business continues to flourish during the pandemic by keeping my clients healthy and teaching about how to maintain optimal immune health. At the beginning of the pandemic, I started teaching virtual exercise classes to women all around the country. Most classes would have 25 women on a Zoom call every Saturday morning as I worked their butts off.”

HIGHLIGHTS: 'Darien Days' Written and Illustrated by Diane Weeks

We're so excited to announce that “Darien Days”, written and illustrated by Diane Weeks, has officially been released!

The paintings in Diane’s book evolved over a period of years as she got to know and love our town. From schools to churches and parks to beaches, this 84-page book of watercolor illustrations depict daily life in Darien, and makes for a one-of-a-kind holiday gift.
