Darien Soundings

Dear Darien,

The Town of Darien, the Darien Police Department, and the Representative Town Meeting have collaborated on a summer public safety campaign – this one called Slow Down In Town – to encourage drivers to be more careful as they share the roads with cyclists and pedestrians.

The awareness campaign, which kicked off on June 1, will continue for six weeks, ending on July 17.

Darien residents will be seeing lawn signs along local roadways, banners at schools and on buildings, and magnets and stickers on cars and in the windows of businesses. Flyers will be mailed to every address in town and T-shirts will be available with the Slow Down In Town logo.

Learn more about the campaign here.
