Dear Darien,

Darien’s second annual ROCKtoberfest was on October 2nd at Highland Farm! It was a beautiful day of music, crafts, magic, and more. There were live musical performances, food, and activities for children! People were also able to bring their own picnic lunches. Fun and creative family-friendly events included chalk drawing and mural painting led by DAC Visual Arts instructors. Strolling magician Steve Dane was there with performances by DAC dancers! It was a family-friendly event that was so much fun!

The three bands that performed were SHOT DOWN, Waller and Doug Allen Music. They were fantastic!

This event was brought to you by the Darien Arts Center and Darien Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Marchesi Team Real Estate at Compass. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the DAC and Parks and Recreation and many thanks to all who volunteered!

Abby Knott and Lindsay Hurty are the co-founders of Everwell. As working mothers who are dedicated to helping the community, they dreamed of creating a place where women could gather to form meaningful connections, collaborate, work, and socialize. That is where the dream of Everwell started.

The shop has been in business since 1946 and for the last 75 years, it has specialized in supplying its customers with the best sporting goods and equipment that is available. The Sports Shop’s mission has grown to become a one-stop shopping destination for families in our community and provide them with a level of service they can't find anywhere else. They want their customers to come in and know they will find what they are looking for, but also find something new and exciting!

Darien Sport Shop is open Monday through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 1127 Post Road in Darien, CT. Stop in or shop online here for curb-side pickup or delivery.

HIGHLIGHTS

The 6th annual Outdoor Art Show took place at Grove Street Plaza on Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th. This event featured more than 100 pieces of artwork -- all from local artists. Music from local musical artists created quite the ambience while people viewed the art.
