Dear Darien,

U.S. News has ranked Darien High School as the No. 1 high school in Connecticut. Congratulations to all of the students and teachers, school board, the Darien Community, and many others for your tremendous hard work!

The factors Darien was ranked on, according to U.S. News, were:
-College readiness
-College curriculum
-Math and reading proficiency
-Math and reading performance
-Graduation rate

With a total point score of 98.87 out of 100, Darien also ranked No. 1 in Bridgeport metro-area high schools. Darien ranked No. 201 in the country, and Darien is ranked No. 100 in STEM high schools.

Schools Superintendent Alan Addley said the recent high school ranking “reflects the hard work of the staff, greater school community and Board of Education in continually providing the highest quality education to our students.”

Meet Megan Searfoss! Megan is the owner of Darien Running Company which opened in July 2020. She has loved owning a business in Darien and appreciates how everyone in town supports shopping locally. HIGHLIGHTS

Darien Wellness Week was last month and it started with the first-ever Blooms for Campers Fun Run on Sunday, April 25th at Darien’s new park, Highland Farm! It was great to see our community join together for an important cause and have fun doing it. Thank you to OPUS for Person-to-Person for organizing the event and thank you to everyone who took part, from the sponsors to the runners, donors and everyone in between! Your support helped raise funds and awareness for the Person-to-Person campership program which sends children from local, low-income households to summer camp at no cost to their families.
